Ramps are not only incredibly helpful but also essential for individuals facing mobility challenges or disabilities. With their smooth and sloping surface, ramps provide a safe and easy means for people to move between different levels. For wheelchair users, ramps are nothing short of a lifesaver, granting them the freedom to navigate spaces and buildings independently. However, the benefits of ramps extend beyond just wheelchair users. They also provide immense assistance to individuals with walkers, canes, or other mobility aids, allowing them to move around with greater ease and confidence. Furthermore, ramps are a blessing for parents with strollers who no longer have to struggle with stairs, as well as individuals who frequently carry heavy loads. In essence, ramps are a simple yet transformative solution that promotes inclusivity and accessibility for all members of society.
At VanderBeken Remodel, we hold a strong belief in the power of community contribution and its role in creating a thriving and resilient society. Each year, we eagerly anticipate the opportunity to dedicate our time and expertise to support those in need, fostering positive transformations and cultivating a deep sense of unity and connection.
Since 1993, MBAKS members have provided more than 600 ramps. These ramps provide a much-needed benefit for individuals and families who struggle to get themselves or their loved ones safely in and out of their homes.
In addition to the construction of ramps, the VanderBeken Remodel team went above and beyond this year by dedicating time to beautify the surrounding landscaping as well. Recognizing that a well-maintained and visually appealing outdoor space can greatly enhance the overall experience of individuals utilizing the ramps, our team jumped right into weeding and pressure washing the surrounding sidewalks and driveway to spruce up the front yard.
The VanderBeken Remodel team has a deep commitment to both functionality and aesthetics that sets us apart as a remodeling company that truly cares about the well-being and satisfaction of our clients. Whether it's through building ramps, or remodeling your kitchen, bath or whole home, we continue to make a positive impact in the community, one project at a time.
VanderBeken Remodel also believes in supporting local businesses and experiencing the vibrant culture of our community. During a mid-morning break during the Rampathon volunteer event, we decided to treat ourselves to the delightful flavors of Acai bowls from Spoon & Straw, a charming local business located just around the corner from VanderBeken Remodel's new showroom and office on 3rd Street.
The moment we walked into Spoon & Straw, we were greeted with the inviting aroma of fresh fruits and the friendly smiles of the staff. The colorful array of toppings and the vibrant presentation of the Acai bowls instantly caught our attention. Each bowl was a work of art, meticulously crafted with layers of nutritious ingredients and bursting with flavors that appealed to both the eyes and the taste buds.
We eagerly selected our favorite combinations of fruits, granola, and other delicious toppings, marveling at the thoughtfulness and creativity that went into each bowl. The smooth and refreshing taste of the Acai, blended perfectly with the crunchy texture of the granola and the sweetness of the fruits. It was a delightful treat that energized and invigorated us for the rest of the day.
Beyond the exceptional taste, what truly captivated us about Spoon & Straw was their commitment to sourcing local and organic ingredients. They prioritize the use of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, ensuring that every bowl is not only delicious but also nourishing for the body. It was inspiring to see their dedication to supporting local farmers and promoting sustainable practices.
For lunch, we had the pleasure of indulging in some delicious pizza from Gusto Wood Fired Pizza at the Marysville Farmers Market. The market, held every Friday throughout the summer from 10am to 2pm, is a vibrant and bustling gathering place where local farmers and artisans come together to showcase their products.
What made the experience even more enjoyable was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the Gusto Pizza team. They took the time to chat with us about their passion for creating delicious and high-quality pizzas using locally sourced ingredients. Their commitment to supporting local farmers and businesses resonated with us, as it aligned perfectly with the values of VanderBeken Remodel.
At VanderBeken Remodel, we believe in the power of community and the impact that supporting local businesses can have. That's why we make it a point to partner with businesses like Spoon & Straw and Gusto Wood Fired Pizza and to spotlight their offerings. By doing so, we not only enjoy delicious meals but also contribute to the success and growth of our community.
