To trace the origins of Marysville, today a prosperous, diversified north Snohomish County city of 69,000, you need to return to 1872 and its humble beginnings as a trading post. James P. Comeford, proprietor of the original trading post and founder of Marysville, and wife Maria, first arrived in the area in 1878, and paved the way for many pioneer families to follow.
After the town was platted in 1885, a period of growth brought new buildings and industries to Marysville. In 1891, Marysville was incorporated and welcomed the completed Great Northern Railway. Historically, the area has subsisted on lumber and agrarian products; the growth of strawberry fields in Marysville led to the city being nicknamed the “Strawberry City” in the 1920s. Today, (according to datausa.io) the most prevelant industry in Marysville is manufacturing.
Marysville is oriented north–south along Interstate 5, bordering the Tulalip Indian Reservation to the west, and State Route 9 to the east. Mount Pilchuck, whose 5,300-foot-high (1,600 m) peak can be seen from various points in the city, appears in the city’s flag and seal.
With the cost of selling, moving, and purchasing a new property many homeowners are turning to additions to their home to get the square footage and functionality they have always wanted. Plus, who enjoys packing up their home, moving, and then unpacking it? Expanding the footprint of your home is the sure way to give your family the space they need for any situation. Working remotely from home makes a home office a great addition to eliminate your commute and save precious bedroom space while increasing your productivity with a designated work area. Creating a distraction-free zone is easier than ever with modern building materials.
