Ron VanderBeken began working in the building industry as a college student looking for a way to pay the bills while he completed his degree at Seattle Pacific University. While he established his career as an educator, he found that spending his summers working in construction was a good way to supplement his income and satisfy his desire to work with his hands. Through the years he continued to make strides in his knowledge base and experience and in 1998 came to a career crossroads. It was then that Ron decided to commit to the building industry full-time and took a position as a project manager for a custom home builder. Ten years later the opportunity came about for Ron and his wife Jennifer to step out on their own in creating VanderBeken Remodel & Repair LLC dba VanderBeken Remodel.

Ron is a BIAW (Building Industry Association of Washington) Certified Builder and holds a CAPS designation with the National Association of Home Builders. Educating and guiding clients through the process of the design and production of their project is an important aspect of collaboration and Ron works diligently to provide an exceptionally positive client experience.

One of the ways Ron balances his work/life balance is teaching a weekly art class at a small classical school in Marysville where his kids attend.

Walking through a newly framed addition is familiar territory for Jennifer VanderBeken after growing up immersed in the building industry, with both her father and grandfather being Seattle area home builders. Whether it was collecting recyclable soda cans or scrap lumber around the job sites and then later in high school working in the company office, the ins and outs of the day to day, the challenges and the successes of building became well known.

After college, Jennifer spent the next several years teaching elementary school, but while taking time off to be at home with her and her husband Ron’s young children, an opportunity came about for them to start their own business. With their combined experience in building/remodeling and the desire and vision to run their very own business Ron and Jennifer had a perfect partnership.

Established in 2008, VanderBeken Remodel continues to grow while providing professional development opportunities and advancement for team members, loyal relationships with specialty trade partners, and clients with an exemplarily positive remodeling experience. Jennifer holds both a CAPS and a CGP designation and is a BIAW Certified Builder.  She is also an active member of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish County’s Remodelers Council and in 2021 was awarded the MBA’s Remodeler of the Year.

If you are up at Mount Baker, you may see Jennifer skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer with her family.

Allison moved from her home state of Tennessee to the Seattle Area in 2019 after attaining her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Tennessee Technological University. She has 4 years of combined experience in the architecture, luxury furnishings, and remodeling industries. She is passionate about creating unique spaces that are perfectly suited to the homeowners wants and needs. Her hobbies outside of work include traveling, snowboarding, and exploring nature with her husband Gabriel and two dogs, Toby and Piper. Allison has been with the VanderBeken Remodel team since 2022.

Joe moved from Chicago to the Seattle area in 2020. In Chicago he was the owner of a successful design build remodeling company that he left behind for the great PNW in support for his wife’s career. Joe has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and is a Certified Remodeling Project Manager (CRPM) with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI). He has also racked up an impressive number of awards for unparalleled performance and exemplary dedication to his industry. Among those are three First Place Remodeling Excellence awards.

Outside of work, Joe loves to sail the Puget Sound and scuba dive when he has the time. He enjoys exploring the great outdoors hiking with his wife, Monica, and his dog, Luke. He plays on a competitive soccer team weekly and considers his hobbies to be drawing and photography. Joe has been with the VanderBeken Remodel team since 2022.

Mike has been in the construction industry for 20+ years.  Starting as a laborer and working hands-on in all the different aspects of the construction process, to becoming a project manager for new home construction and remodels, and owning and running his own handyman / carpentry business,  Mike brings a unique and high level of experience, expertise and attention to detail to VanderBeken Remodel.

In his personal time, Mike has spent many years playing drums in multiple bands, most recently an 80s cover band called Rewind that was together for 10 years playing all throughout the PNW.  He also enjoys art, painting and is an avid animal lover.

Estela has about six years of client care and customer service experience including but not limited to being a certified Childcare provider, a Caregiver, a Health coach and a Sales manager among other service based positions. For her hobbies, she is quite fond of intellectual pursuits but outside of the educational realm, you can find her ballroom dancing, cooking, and studying/practicing alternative health. Estela has been with the VanderBeken Remodel team since 2021.
