After our initial phone call with you we will send you an informational email which will include an overview of our Remodel Process, a link to Remodeling magazine’s current Cost vs Value Chart, and a PDF with Six Quick Questions for you to ask any remodeler you are considering working with. For your convenience, we have included our answers in the document. If you decide, after reviewing those documents, that you would like to move forward with VanderBeken Remodel, let us know, and we will schedule an in-person consultation.
The third and final step of the initial phase is an in-person complimentary consultation appointment to discuss the anticipated project in further detail including the framework of both scheduling and budget considerations.
The Design Phase is comprised of 5 parts: 1.) Design Assessment appointment to specify the details of the project 2.) Design Agreement, an agreement between VanderBeken Remodel and the Homeowner, including a design/proposal fee, to design the space and all necessary elements. 3.) Conceptual drawings, design development, and production drawings (if necessary for permitting) are drawn up and discussed 4.) An “Open House” for select Specialty Trade Contractors to view the project site is scheduled and held 5.) Presentation of Project Proposal including the detailed Scope of Work with a firm, fixed Investment Price* and approximate start and completion dates are provided.
*Excluding any unforeseen factors already existing in the structure.
The Construction Contract is comprised of 3 parts: 1.) Construction Contract submitted and signed. 2.) Client access to BuilderTrend through the client portal (a cloud based tool for Homeowner to view daily log entries with photos, real time calendar for up to date scheduling, uploaded contracts and pertinent paperwork, and online invoicing with an option of e-checks) 3.) On-site weekly meetings with Project Manager.
