Brighten Your Hall Bathroom
Brighten Your Hall Bathroom
We love the fresh, bright final look of this bathroom, which plays up the natural light of the large skylight.
Blending classic and modern styles, this bathroom features a variety of textures and surfaces in a cool grey, black, and white palette. We upgraded the old vinyl flooring to tile and installed a new, bright white tub. Wave-textured white subway tiles add a fun twist on a modern look in the shower, while linear glass tiles provide an accent border. We used the same grey, black, and silver linear glass tiles as the backsplash to tie the room together. Brushed nickel hardware, faucets, and towel bars offer coherence, while matching fixed shampoo holder insets in the shower add convenience without sacrificing space or aesthetics. The dark grey-stained cabinetry contrasts nicely with the lighter tile and shower, tying together with the darker glass tiles of the backsplash. We installed granite in Silver Cloud for the vanity counter, along with a squared undermount sink and three-piece two-knob faucet. Finishing touches included swapping the old bracket-mounted mirror for a wall-mount to hide hardware, as well as installing an overhead wall-mounted light fixture with three glass shades for days when clouds cover the skylight.
What We Love
The cool color palette includes white, light and dark greys, and silvers, creating a calm, zen-filled sanctum.
Our Favorite Detail
Wave texture adds a modern take to the bright white subway tiles, and the bright whites in the room really emphasize the natural daylight offered by the skylight.
